LORIS HEALTHCARE HOSTS 3RD ANNUAL HEALTH FAIR AT COLONIAL MALL

Loris Healthcare System will host its 3rd annual community health fair at Colonial Mall on Saturday, January 20, from 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. The fair is free to the public and will offer a variety of health screenings, wellness information, giveaways, and more.

Creating opportunities to bring health services out into the community has long been a tradition for Loris Healthcare System.  Providing outreach events like the health fair are part of our mission to improve the overall health and quality of life for our population. The purpose of this event is to raise the community’s awareness about health and wellness resources available in our area. 

The event will offer something for everyone with plenty of opportunities for screenings, wellness information and giveaways.  New to the fair this year is our Kids Korner, designed to provide entertainment as well as healthy tips for children and their parents.

Attendees are encouraged to take advantage of a full blood panel for only $25.  The blood panel will include screenings for cholesterol, glucose, triglycerides and much more.  Anyone planning to have the blood panel should fast for 12-14 hours the night before for more accurate results.   

Registration forms for the blood panel will be available the day of the fair or can be obtained in advance at Colonial Mall's Guest Services, Seacoast Medical Center in Little River or Loris Community Hospital.

Other on-site screenings that will be offered during the fair include body fat, blood pressure and other health screenings.
