As seriously ill patients may need help or care at a moment's notice, our Intensive Care and Progressive Care Units are staffed with specially trained nurses and physicians who continuously monitor and evaluate changes in a patient's condition.
The Intensive Care Unit is designed for patients needing a high level of critical care. The Progressive Care Unit is designed for some post-surgical patients and for those patients who do not need critical care, but who do need more intensive nursing care than what is usually provided on general nursing units.
